IT'S HERE!!!!!

June 5th, 2014
On my way to class, I went out and checked the mail for the 3rd time that day hoping I would find a big envelope addressed to "Sister Jayne Livingston". Words could not describe the excitement I felt as I opened the mail box and saw it sitting there. Immediately I ran up to my apartment, opened the door and yelled, "IT'S HERE!" My roommates came running out, and together we embraced in a giant group hug. Then I took a picture of it and sent it to my mom and Chancey. "I'M DYING."
It was then that I realized I was late to class and should probably get on my way. I walked to class faster than ever before, tripping on the way, because I was too busy looking at the little picture of my call on my phone. I couldn't think about anything other than just that--my call. It was finally here.
After a very long day, it was at long last time to open it and see where I would be spending the next  eighteen months of my life. I offered a prayer of gratitude for the opportunity I had been given to serve the Lord, and asked that I might have an open heart and an understanding that wherever I was called to is where I am needed.  Then, it was go time.
Several people from my ward were able to come to my apartment to watch me open it, and I skyped with my family and the Trentmans. I opened my call, and read the following:

Dear Sister Livingston:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. In addition to your calling to share the gospel, you will be assigned to serve in the Historic Kirtland Visitors' Center. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months. You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

I couldn't believe it. I was so excited. I wanted to drop everything and march to the MTC right then. Instead, I jumped up and down in my apartment, off the walls, and down the hallway. I must have look like a big goofball, but that's fine with me.
